How a famous author, time, and getting her ego out of the way allowed Erica Bauermeister to hear her characters reveal themselves in the stories she writes
Ooh! Great list. Thank you! I'm very intrigued by the hoarder/renovation memoir. Speaking of foodie books, Ruth Reichl has a new novel called "The Paris Novel" that I have on my wish list. Love her writing so much.
The book didn't go into a lot of details about the hoarder portion of the house, but the renovation part was present on every page. I actual have Ruth's new book as an ARC, but I haven't read it yet. I'll read it closer to publication date.
This series sounds very good. I need to step away from my obsession with Suspense, thrillers and mysteries and read other genres. 📚 I looked at my reading tracker and in the last 2 years I've only read 2 books 📚 that were not Suspense thrillers or mystery. Yes, it sounds like I'm stuck in a rut!
So, once I get out of my comfort zone I will check out these books that you make sound so tempting.
You like what you like and that's good; it's great that you are thinking about reading other genres, too. I love psychological thrillers and I'll read 2-3 in a row and then I'm ready for something else. I'm that way with most genres that I read; I like to mix it up. It keeps my reading fresh and I'm excited to read all the time.
Ah, a series. This is on my list for the beginning of the year. I've been looking for something different. Food has only recently started to interest me since I started learning to cook this last couple years. Thank you for the suggestion... nothing better than binging a series!
Wow. From your writing I’m going to start the series this week. Thanks Gayla.
Thanks Mark! I hope you enjoy the books as much as I did.
You’re welcome. The books sound right up my alley when it comes to food and cooking
