I would like to start one for my flight attendant friends. Your posts are very helpful. I was also in St. Pete recently and stopped by Books and Bottle. I'm noticing a new trend of independent book stores serving coffee and wine for book club and author events. https://www.bookandbottlestpete.com/events
Book clubs are great and I think they are even better when the people who attend have something else in common other than a love of reading. I've nevr heard of Books and Bottle, but yes, I agree that coffee and wine are becoming more prevalent at book events. For me, that is mixed because when I go to a book club I want to discuss the books, not everything else. I've been in enough book clubs in the past that I've learned when you mix food and drink with books, a lot of times, books take a back seat. Have fun with your new book club and let me know how it goes. :)
Thanks for this helpful post! So many great points to consider!
