Thank you again Gayla for great suggestions, especially about book clubs. About what we're reading, I'm finishing re-reading Barbara Pym's novel, "An Unsuitable Attachment," and before that just finished the biography of Nora Ephron, by Kristin Doidge.
I never heard of An Unsuitable Attachment so I'll check it out. I've also never read anything by or about Nora Ephron. I'll have to check this one out also. Thanks for sharing your reads!
Great links, as always. I’m reading Wellness, which I don’t even know how to accurately describe...I want to find someone else reading this behemoth to discuss! And my TBR pile is very tall (I only read physical books), so I’m looking forward to finishing Wellness and diving into another book soon.
I've heard about Wellness and it's size, but I haven't read it yet. It does sound like my kind of book though, so I've put it on hold through Libby, at least a 10 week hold. That's o.k. as I have plenty more to read. Thanks for moving this up on my TBR.
Great stuff as always! About to specifically check out all the online book clubs. I have one that meets about three times a year. And of course I always pick a book about friendship!
I'd love to be in your bookclub for the friendship book picks. lol I wish I could find an "in person" book club that checked all the boxes I'd like it to check, but I haven't found the right one yet. Thanks for reading Nina!
I never thought about an online bookclub! I tried one over the past few months and the problem is we don't talk about the book but the neighborhood gossip. And we eat.
Thank you for all the information you share... it inspires and helps me cultivate new ideas.
The #1 downside to an "in person" book club that I've found is exactly what you mentioned; eat, drink and gossip. That is fine if that is what the reader is looking for, but it's not for me. I want to talk about the book and all things bookish. Thanks for reading Patti!

Thanks Meta and thanks for reading!
I like your comments. I have been looking for a book club but I read every chance I get after I finish grading
and preparing lessons
For me, online book clubs are more successful than in person book clubs. I treasure the connections I've made with other readers.
My grandma waited for bear cam season every year, and would send me regular email updates 😂
Awe, what a special memory with your grandma.
Great tip about the Kindle!
I know; anything to save a little money so you can buy more books! lol
I loved this. Thank you so much for all the info about book clubs. So helpful as I'm in the process of getting my novel into book clubs.🤗🤗🤗
Thanks for reading! Book clubs love to make connections with authors, I wish you success.
Thank you!🩷

I so agree, Gayla! Maybe I'll find time this winter to find the right one, let's hope so. I love sharing about reading and books!
