I'm tagging that article on Jacqueline Susann and Jackie Collins. I was a bookseller during the Collins heyday and I have read Susann's works. Michael Korda writes about working with her in his memoir, Another life, which is one of my favorite publishing industry memoirs.

Agree, the Las Vegas article is a fun read. thanks for sharing, Gayla. I'll be visiting Vegas again soon so I might check out some of those buffets! I follow a 100% plantbased diet and I find there are a lot of excellent restaurants there that serve great vegan food.

I love the idea of a book bar! I'm starting bookshop in small-town Italy, and I feel like this is the kind of social component that would really fly in a country so tuned into the importance of good wine and good company. Book bars are the kind of thing that pops up in cities, but that might even be more vital for smaller places as a way to connect the community and get people together.
