I'm glad you got an unexpected day at home. The link about the value of libraries was excellent. I am an INACTIVE member of my local Friends of the Library organization. It was a welcome addition to our community and I marvel at how many children from the adjacent schools stop in frequently to do homework as a group. The post about writing old fashioned letters was great.
I never knew my library provided all the services it does until I took a tour there to be able to volunteer (then Covid hit). They even have a couple of 3-D printers that you can use for free.
That is a GREAT EXAMPLE of libraries reinventing their mission! All of our county libraries have "iLabs" in them where people can rent usage of all sorts of specialty craft and hobby stuff like 3D printers. They always seem BUSY!

I LOVED I Must Betray You…..a powerful and relevant story!
I'm still reading this book, but I agree, so far it is powerful and relevant. Hopefully, I can finish it this weekend.
