I read it a couple of months back and I enjoyed it also. It liked all the twists and turns and thinking I knew what would happen next. Boy was I wrong!

I got lucky and guessed the main big twist...

Thanks! I just want it over with so I can learn what it is to be retired. lol

Will you write about retired life? I'd love to read the experience of someone going through for the first time, fresh faced in the newness.

I haven't given it any thought one way or the other. I suspect it will creep into my newsletter in the ways that it relates to books and the traveling that I want to do, but to specifically do an ongoing series of posts related only to retirement, I don't see that happening. But who knows, stranger things have happened. Thanks for reading.

The online bookclub I'm involved in, Modern Mrs. Darcy Book Club, is reading it in August. I'm looking forward to reading it.

The dinosaur model would capture the imagination of adult and child alike!

Rexy has definitely captured the imagination of all the kids. I've been there several times and when kids walk in they are in awe. The first few times I saw it, I was impressed, but the new has worn off for me. lol

Years ago I worked for a tiny publishing house (called Isis, of all things, we had to change our name in the early '00s...) that was so small we all did a bit of everything. THE BEST BIT BY FAR was commissioning covers! We mostly worked with transparencies filed by style decade, but we could afford to commission three actual paintings per month, and chatting to the artists about their ideas in progress was so much more fun than talking to the printer about paper stock. It paid packing peanuts, but I miss it!

I wish I knew 40 years ago what I know now. I would have had a different career; hopefully something that I would have enjoyed more than accounting and taxes. That sounds like so much fun to work in publishing. It's too bad that those jobs pay so little. :( I can't imagine a business having that name and I would have changed the name as soon as possible too.

I’ve noticed that GR is becoming glitchier. There are times that it seems “down” and it just spins. Then it works a few hours later. I also use Story Graph but I’m annoyed when I have to manually I put books (arcs) into the data base.

Congrats on your new place and impending retirement! Exciting times!

Thanks Carol. Yes, I've noticed that GR is glitchy sometimes too, but I guess it doesn't bother me as I keep going back. lol I started using Storygraph, but I just couldn't keep up with both, so since I never imported any books, into SG, it was the one I quit updating.

I have visited the Frisco Library and saw the dinosaur the first time and thought WOW, like you I'm over it. I like how the Frisco library upgraded- really fun and inviting looking for young readers and those who need to study and socialize. The size of the library makes it look as if there aren't a lot of books but of course there are. It would be nice if they could incorporate some of the features from the Cerritos Library. I enjoyed the video link about that. As always thanks for sharing your book knowledge and especially the instructions on how to get library e-books onto the Kindle!

I agree, with all the space, it looks like there aren't enough library books. The Cerritos Library looks amazing and I can't wait to see it on my next trip to Southern California. You were one of my earliest supporters with SoNovelicious and you never fail to keep supporting me. Thank you and thanks for reading!
