Thanks, Gayla--so many links I want to check out! Congrats on completing your last tax season, and welcome to your next chapter!
We’ve been visiting relatives in Columbus, Ohio and discovered a terrific bookstore, The Book Loft, in German Village, “32 Rooms of Bargain Books.” I felt like a kid in a candy store. Didn’t have enough time to visit every room, but it felt like a treasure hunt, with rewards around every corner. Good to see a thriving independent! 📚
I remember the Covid year and the year after. Tax season was extended both years and those were the MOST miserable tax seasons I had experience since my first job at a CPA firm. So happy to be on the other side of it now. I hope you have escaped all the rain damage that I've read about.
Judy Blume! I would be interested to hear about her life. I once heard TOURE the hipster brooklynite alt-celebrity read from HELLO GOD at a packed NY lit event. Crowd went WILD.
I never knew that BuzzFeed had a dedicated book section 🙈 will definitely make a good use of the She Reads website too. Thank you for sharing these links!
If you like Pop Culture Preservation Society, Listen to Sassy might also be extremely up your alley (if you don't already listen to it): https://listentosassy.com/
I had to stop listening to it when I drive bc it makes me laugh so hard it wasn't safe?
Happy "Last Tax Season Ever" - I could actually feel your joy in this episode of "Happy Friday Links" as I read it and followed your links. I downloaded the Pop Culture Preservation podcast and can't wait to listen to it as it sounds to be a podcast I can really relate to. I also can't wait to see the Judy Blume movie when it comes out next week as I was a big fan of her books growing up. Thanks for sharing all things bookish.
Thanks Michele! Yes, I'm pretty happy about no more tax seasons. I hope you enjoy the pop culture podcast, I really do. even though the hosts are younger, I can still definitely relate.

Thanks Ruth. That bookstore sounds like a fun place to get lost in for several hours. I've added it to my list of bookstores to visit in the future.
Yay for being on the other side of tax season!! 🎉
Thanks Jan, it feels wonderful to be able to say "no more tax seasons."
Congrats on your last tax season! Everyone in CA has an extension because California.

How fun that must have been! Thanks for reading.
Happy last tax season ever 🎉🥳
Thanks Katy!
Congrats on making it through the storm and welcome back!
Thanks Michael! I'm excited to be back and to have tax seasons and this job almost behind me. Just a little over 4 months and I can say "I'm retired."
