Laura Hillenbrand is wonderful. I love narrative nonfiction! Have you read The Warmth of Other Suns or Killers of the Flower Moon? Thanks for the recs and resources!

I have tried reading The Warmth of Other Suns and I don't think it was the right time for me. I may try it again in the future. I have Killers of the Flower Moon but I haven't read it yet. Maybe one day. lol

Warmth of Other Suns has a lot of straight history interspersed between the narrative sections! I skimmed some of the hard history..but my husband loved those parts, too!

I am in a non-fiction history book club and I appreciate knowing these books are considered narrative non-fiction! Both of the Hillenbrand books AND the ones you listed here have been on our lists in past years. Who knew? The Killers of the Flower Moon was wonderful.

Well our bookclub has 40+ members and each can nominate books to read which we vote on. I am glad those of us who get involved in the selection process didn't know the difference and just enjoyed the books.

Also…. Warmth of Other Suns has a lot of history interspersed between the narrative sections so I guess partially narrative nonfiction would be more accurate!
