I'm so glad you wrote about I'm Glad My Mom Died. I loved this book so much. So honest and I also loved her promotional interviews. I am writing a book about my complicated and complex relationship with my dad, who died, and who I'm also glad is not here with us.

It is a difficult book to read; fortunately, I was only reading as an observer, and not as a survivor of any of the things that she went through.

Thank you for the thoughtful review of I’m Glad My Mom Died. It’s such a complicated memoir...

Yes, complicated. I'm still not sure if I'm glad a read it or not.

I was not aware of I’m Glad My Mom Died, sounds heartbreaking and complicated. On a lighter note - I love Jeopardy! Re: Colleen Hoover- a friend of mine has been following the course of how TikTok has been such a huge part of her success.

Hoover's success is directly related to TikTok and more power to her. I support authors, especially the ones that take their success and turn it into a greater good and she certainly does that.

I'd seen I'm Glad... a lot of places but didn't know much about it. Thanks for filling in the blanks!

Sometimes you need someone else to read it for you so you don't have to go through the misery. lol It is definitely not for everyone.

Seems like the book isn’t for me. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Isn't it nice when someone tells you just enough about a book that you know it isn't for you and you don't have to waste your time reading it? Not every book is for everyone and I'm still questioning why I read it. lol

The title of McCurdy’s book is so off putting to me that I have no interest in even reading a synopsis!!! Yes, we enjoy Ken Jennings. The Tournament of Champions was great and I love the current guy with his 12 game streak.

I agree with your thoughts on the title. Any other title I can think of that would be descriptive of the book is just as off putting too. The disfunction of the entire family and the harm that the mother did to McCurdy was horrible. Thanks for being here Carol.
