Thank you so much, Gayla! I can't wait to check out Curmudgeon Lit!

Loving the book community that you create with SoNovelicious, and honored to be a part of the book community with you here on Substack/Bookstack.

Oh gosh, I just went to see all the newsletters you subscribe to and added like 15 more to my inbox. 🙈

There more than I realized; I think there are enough bookish creators that it's time for Substack to set up a "books and reading" category in their discover feature. I'd also like to see them promote us like they started doing for the "food writers" category. Today is 'office hours", if I have a few minutes I may try to pop in and suggest that to them.

These all sound so good, Gayla! I also believe that books + food + travel pair marvelously well. In a world/international/own voices/diverse literature book club that I run, I offer a guide to go with the title every month and it always includes travel & food links. It's a fun and integral part of the experience!

Oh, how exciting for your book club. I wish I was a part of that book club.

You can be, Gayla, as it's online! :) Link is on my BookLove Letter page, or reach out and I'd be happy to tell you more. We're reading Defenestrate, by Renée Branum in April, set partly in Prague, so there'll undoubtedly be incredible architecture and fried cheese in the guide.

Oh, you're a sneaky one, Gayla! Your last newsletter I gave you a tongue-lashing for making my TBR pile even larger. So this week you try and placate me by saying all kinds of nice things about our newsletter, while ALSO suggesting new newsletters to read.

I SEE RIGHT THROUGH YOUR NEFARIOUS SCHEMES!!!
